What To Wear For Your Family Session

I’ve photographed hundreds of families and can tell you that you want to look back at these photos and feel like they best represent you and your family. Keep it comfortable and choose a color palette to build around. Then add textures, layers, and accessories to complete your look.

Choose clothing that compliments your location and the season.

Fall: Muted, warm earth tones go well with fall grass and foliage. Layers, flowing dresses and fuzzy sweaters look great in photos.

Spring: Jewel tones and light neutrals work great with the pop of spring flowers and cherry blossom trees.

Winter: Dark neutrals with a textured scarf or a colorful beanie will do the trick.

Summer: Pops of color, florals and either cute sandals or bare feet are great for the summer.

Word to the wise, I would avoid conflicting patterns, logos, characters, writing and noticeable graphics/brand labels.
