West Orange NJ Family Photographer | Fall Family Session at Tulip Springs

Fall was showing off at Tulip Springs for this family session in West Orange. The leaves were at peak color, and the newly finished white stone path winding toward the creek felt a little like “follow the yellow brick road”.

After previously photographing headshots for both mom and dad, it was fun to get to photograph their family of three. We spent the late afternoon exploring the Tulip Springs trails of South Mountain Reservation, collecting leaves, and enjoying one of those perfect fall weather days in Northern NJ.

Their daughter brought so much energy and playfulness to the session. Watching her explore reminded me of my own childhood…the freedom to wander, be silly, and find adventure in every little detail. Those moments of curiosity and time to play are some of my favorite things to photograph because they're such a fleeting part of childhood.

Between the colors, family snuggles, and loads of silliness along the trail, this session was a special way to celebrate a beautiful fall afternoon together and it’s why this has become one of my favorite galleries.
