Flowers NYBG: Bronx, NY

Walking into the New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Show in the spring is like stepping into an alternate reality where color is king. I never knew there were that many varieties of orchids…and the colors absolutely blew me away. Deep purples, firey oranges, soft pinks, and bright yellows… it was a living rainbow, and every turn revealed a new burst of 3D magic.

The show’s theme was inspired by the vibrant architecture of renowned Mexican architect Luis Barragán. A few years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to tour his studio and home in Mexico City (pictured in the last 2 photos).
