I love photographing families in and around their home. The kids usually feel ultra comfortable and there's fun props to choose from. Sometimes there are those sessions though when the kids want to eat or run around and just play and you can't always get them to stand still. The parents can get frustrated but I tend to just roll with it...and I'm always excited to share what we did capture because there is usually a lot of good. 

Photographing newborns is definitely a favorite of mine. I could tell Jessie and Angelo welcomed their new role as parents (to daughter Penelope) with the same warmth that shows throughout their colorful apartment. And it was great to spend the afternoon in Montclair listening to The Beatles and chatting with them during feedings. It's safe to say...they have parenting down pat and that always shows through in photos.
